A shopper’s guide to Restoration Yard

A shopper’s guide to Restoration Yard

2 Mins

Based in gorgeously renovated 18th century stables around a pretty courtyard, Restoration Yard at Dalkeith Country Park is on a mission to offer something different with its unique range of homewares, fashion and gifts. Brainchild of Amanda Pratt, previously creative director at leading Irish retail and food brand Avoca, it opened at the end of July.

As well as shopping inspiration galore, there’s also a light-filled café with a delicious menu featuring lots of locally sourced ingredients. A beauty and aromatics section has a focus on the organic and the natural. If you’re gift buying, look out for the soft bundles of Restoration Yard socks and soaps, while the foodhall is packed with artisan goodies. Upstairs, the furniture loft, accessed by a “secret staircase” also has ceramics, glassware and an exceptional lighting selection.

Look out for The Wellbeing Lab. Offering yoga, pilates and mindfulness classes, early next year they’re launching a full holistic programme of events and workshops designed to restore mind body and spirit.
