Principal Edinburgh unveiled

The eagle-eyed Edinburgh residents amongst you will have noticed there have been some big changes on George Street, with The George Hotel undergoing an extensive remodelling and relaunching as Principal Edinburgh.

Situated in the heart of the Scottish capital, the hotel is ideal for jet-setting travellers looking to explore the city. Each of the 240 bedrooms is now decorated in a contemporary, natural, earthy palette in keeping with the Craigleith stone surroundings, plus there are plenty of quirky surprises, such as dog beds and treats for canine guests.

With an ever-changing seasonal menu, The Printing Press Bar & Kitchen, continues to serve up locally sourced Scottish fare and an enticing array of cocktails. Plus, it’s fair to say Burr & Co has fast become the go-to place for New Town residents and city centre shoppers to get their coffee and cake fix.

With the success of the launch, rumour has it Principal will be heading west, opening another hotel in Glasgow in 2017.
