Uber's rise has been meteoric but it seems that the once crucial human element and social aspect of the firm that was integral to the ethos may be making way for technology’s rise as the firm’s heavy investment into self-driving cars is coming to fruition. Uber’s first fleet of human-supervised Volvo XC90s take to the streets in Pittsburgh this month, the first in the race to bringing a working service to market.
