What’s this all about then? Haven’t Tigerlily run a midweek menu for years?
Well yes, for over eight years in fact, and it’s become a well-loved Edinburgh staple. But now, thanks to a partnership with new Tigerlily head chef Eugene Reilly and food luminary Hilary Sturzaker, they’re bringing us a new midweek Dine-Out menu, promising ‘good, honest, local, seasonal food that doesn’t cost the earth’. Essentially, a new concept menu that brings something more to the table.

Sounds interesting but why a partnership with a blogger?
Recently Tigerlily chefs have enjoyed working with the likes of Gizzie Erskine, Helen Vass and Tony Singh, and collaboration is important to them. They wanted to add some of Hilary’s approach to designing food menus, her ability to incorporate fresh ideas with an authentic approach to food.

So do Hilary and Eugene work well together?
They share a love of discovering new suppliers and producers so we think you’ll like the results. They’ve spent time together hand-picking from Edinburgh’s Farmers markets, to extend the variety of local produce and suppliers currently used in Tigerlily, and Eugene and the team have then created a menu inspired from their research.

Sounds good. What’s on the menu?
Dishes change seasonally but you can expect specialities from the likes of Peelham Farm, Belhaven Smokehouse, George Mewes, Summer Harvest, and Seriously Good Venison. The menu will sit alongside the à la carte offering.

Is it expensive?
That’s the good news. The menu is a brilliant mid-week offer. The price is £15 for two mains at lunch and £15 for two courses in the evening, and it runs Sunday through Friday lunchtime. Find out more at www.tigerlilyedinburgh.co.uk or Tel: 0131 225 5005.
