Quick and tasty: Chop House

Chop House

Quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with, it's hard to believe Chop House only launched in 2015 such is its reputation. Now they have three restaurants in the capital (their third and largest venture opened in Bruntsfield this month). Try and squeeze in for their Express Lunch served Mon - Fri 12-3pm and Sat - Sun 12-4pm. Slightly cheaper than the main menu but the same delicious quality ingredients and taste. Book online at

Special occasion: The Pompadour by Galvin

Opening its doors just once a week for lunch, a Sunday at The Pompadour by Galvin is a truly special occasion. The three-course menu created by Michelin-starred chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin features the very best of seasonal British ingredients and costs just £29.50 (including a Bloody Mary). Sounds like the perfect weekend cure to us. To reserve your table, Tel: 0131 222 8975 or email
