Glasgow Christmas Markets
Think Christmas, think turkey, stuffing and pigs in blankets? How about embracing some new festive flavours this year like ostrich, wild boar and crocodile burgers? Head along to the Glasgow Christmas Markets at St Enoch Square and George Square for a global gastronomic journey with a seasonal twist - from German bratwurst to French crepes, with a sprinkling of locally produced confectionary and cockle-warming Glühwein thrown into the mix.
There’s plenty of entertainment for the little ones with a Victorian carousel and a vintage helter skelter, plus a giant advent calendar opening at daily intervals to reveal special treats inside. When little feet start getting tired, jump on the Santa train and travel around the perimeter of the George Square Market.
The festive foody frivolities at St Enoch Square run right through to Thursday 22 December 2016, whilst the George Square shenanigans run till Thursday 29 December 2016. Both markets are open daily from 10am so you can get your fill of fine food, peruse their tempting selection of gift ideas and make a day of it.
