Leila Williams taps into her love of the sea at Port Edgar Marina
There's something going down at Port Edgar Marina...
I love the sea, always have, always will. My biggest wish though about living so close to it is to make more use of it, just like the people do at Port Edgar Marina. Did you even know we have the largest watersports and activity centre in Scotland practically on our doorstep? Me neither, so I’ll be rounding up the troops and heading to the marina in South Queensferry for the open weekend on 12 and 13 May. I can't wait.
On land the team behind Canteen Street Food Festival is making sure there’s a party atmosphere with lots of food offerings, activities for the kids (face painting, slime making and kid cave all included) and music from Four Corners DJs.

Off land things crank up a gear if you’re 8 years old or over, with 100s of 60 minute on-the-water taster sessions, from paddleboarding to kayaking. A personal highlight is the wet, fast and exciting 30-minute Rib ride under the three bridges (Forth Road, Rail and the new Queensferry Crossing) – safety gear provided.
If only every weekend could be like this... See you there?
